Meet Tenacious Tess

Role: The Engine of Grit and Resilience (T in S.T.R.I.D.E.)

Catchphrase: “Fall seven times. Get up eight. Then do a cartwheel just to prove a point.”

Backstory

Tess grew up in a neighborhood where excuses were easy to find—and she stomped on every single one. Raised by a single mom working three jobs, Tess learned early that true resilience isn’t loud—it’s consistent. She developed a bulletproof entrepreneurial mindset by turning personal setbacks into performance fuel. Over the years, she faced failed product launches, broken partnerships, and even a literal warehouse fire (yes, that happened)—but never lost her momentum.

Her superpower? Grit. The kind of mental toughness that lets you take the hit, laugh, and keep going. Tess doesn’t sugarcoat the journey—she lives it. And now, she’s on a mission to help entrepreneurs stop chasing perfection and start building real businesses with bounce-back power baked in.

Education

  • BA in Communications with a minor in Kickboxing
  • Graduate of the “School of Hard Wins” (unaccredited, but brutal)
  • Former motivational speaking circuit regular before age 30

Core Strengths

  • Resilience under pressure and high-stakes decision making
  • Contagious confidence and positive momentum
  • Quick thinker with adaptive problem-solving skills
  • Turns entrepreneurial failure into forward movement
  • Builds unshakable belief in others—even when they’re ready to quit

Favorite Tool

A beat-up whiteboard full of quotes, scribbles, daily goals, and the reminder: “You didn’t come this far just to come this far.”

Daily Ritual

Each night before bed, Tess rewatches a personal highlight reel of her biggest failures—and smiles. It’s her way of staying aligned with her growth mindset and emotional resilience.

Exercise & Diet

Tess trains like she leads—high-impact and unapologetic. Boxing, HIIT bootcamps, battle ropes. Her food is fuel: smoothies, protein bowls, grilled veggies. But Friday night? It’s taco time. Extra cheese. No guilt.
